The Need for a Confession Of Faith

A nonregenerative soul may ask; does a believer need a "Confession of Faith"?

1 John 1:9 NIV

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Confession allows us to be held accountable for our sins and seek true forgiveness. The soul needs confession for our prayers to be heard. Allowing us to repair our relationship with God the Father through Christ Jesus. Confession grants us sacramental grace, helping to restore the bond we break with God when we sin.
